On January 31st the German-Dutch Business Club (DNBC) in Berlin came together at BAE. Not only the yearly New Years meeting stood at the centre but also the book „Terug naar de fabriek“ – in English „ Back to the factory“.
The co-authors Jaco Boer and Bram Vermeer presented their book about old factory buildings in the Netherlands. The book pictures the beauty of the old building stocks and the various uses of today, underlined with impressive photos. In particular scientific institutions, artists and the gastronomy and event sector discovered the industry chic for their businesses. Where should have been a better place to present the book than at the traditional company BAE, where up until now the production is running and one can feel the factory atmosphere at first hand?
That`s why at the end a factory visit through the running battery production could not me missing. And at the end astonished faces came back. Even though industry 4.0 is on everyone`s lips, the traditional manufacture with its original walls definitively got charm. Later, in a relaxed atmosphere, the guest discussed their impressions. In one point everyone agreed: BAE stays a producing factory.
