WACEE 2019

From 06 to 08 November 2019, BAE Batterien GmbH (BAE) participated in the 7th West Africa Clean Energy and Environment Trade Fair & Conference in the city of Accra, Ghana.

Local and foreign business institutions involved in one way or another in renewable energy, environmental protection, water supply and recycling used the conference as a platform to showcase their technologies and projects in the West African region. The conference participants thus had the opportunity to learn more about the various problems and issues that were illustrated by a large number of speakers and experts. The speakers presented their insights on new developments in the financing of renewable energy projects, new recycling processes and techniques as well as current socio-political aspects in and around the prosperous West African nation of Ghana.

BAE had the opportunity to exchange ideas with a large number of participants interested in high-quality premium lead batteries, "Made in Germany". These interested parties included business owners and decision makers as well as technical advisors from local companies. Among the topics discussed were the purchase and use of the highest quality lead batteries for their energy storage projects, or to be used in hybrid energy solutions in combination with photovoltaics and wind power.

Parallel to the trade fair programme, the German Solar Training Week fringe event took place from 05 to 08 November. The target audience of this simultaneous event were renewable energy project financiers, local government agencies and solar energy companies. Speakers and moderators of this conference were German companies, including technology providers, financing advisors, training academies and other organisations. BAE presented the prerequisites of premium lead-acid batteries as a technology solution for renewable energy projects in an information session.

The conference, exhibition and training week ended with very positive feedback from participants and local co-exhibitors, who showed great interest in working together to realise interesting renewable energy projects and business areas in the West Africa region.
